Mi name is nelson Gonzalez, I am based in Bucaramanga, Colombia, and have a particular interest in Colombian philatelic history
This project will help preserve and organize information about Colombian stamps for personal studyI am requesting access to CAPI (Colnect Application Programming Interface) for a personal project to create a comprehensive database of Colombian stamps.
Purpose: Create a local database to catalog and organize my personal collection of Colombian stamps
Usage Type: Personal, non-commercial use only
Technical Description:
- Extract data from Colombian stamps catalog (~5,000-10,000 stamps estimated)
- Store in local SQLite database for offline access
- Create personal interface for querying and organizing collection
- Occasional updates for new stamp releases
Technical Background:
- Experienced developer with Python and REST APIs
- Familiar with proper API usage practices (rate limiting, error handling)
- Will respect all usage terms and conditions
Benefit:
This project will help me better organize and catalog my personal stamp collection while learning more about Colombian philatelic history. The database will be used solely for personal reference and education.
