Establishing Values

I have recently inherited a massive collection which I estimate at no less than 7500 packets from around the world and across the US. Its way more than I can maintain and am looking for ways to unload this collection. I've considered piecemeal lots on ebay but would not know if there are certain packets considered to be rare and valuable from those which are common. Is there any helpful information on which to establish value?
