My name is Davide, and I am a physician, Public Health specialist, and researcher at the University of Bologna. Besides my academic career, I am a passionate stamp collector with a deep interest in philately.

I collect stamps from all over the world, both mint and used, as well as postal history and covers. My collection focuses mainly on issues up to 1960 or 1970, depending on the country. However, I make exceptions for:

France (up to 1989)
Germany (up to 1991)
Italy & Area (up to 2000)

Over the years, I have concentrated on European stamps, particularly from the classic period (before 1900). My main research and collecting interests include:

Italian philately, with a special focus on Tuscany
German States
Colonial issues and occupations during WWI & WWII

I also have a keen interest in thematic collections, including:

Postal history of the Royal Mail Ships
Medicine in stamps
Guglielmo Marconi and radio-themed philately
