Michael Haser, Rest in peace

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague Michael Haser [Hoppel], who passed away on September 6th.

For over 15 years, Michael was a highly respected member of our collectors' community, making invaluable contributions, especially in the Gift Cards, Functional Cards and Banknotes categories. His knowledge, dedication, and generosity greatly enriched our discussions and left a lasting impression on all of us.

One of his dreams came true just seven months ago when we launched the Euro Memos category together, a project to which he devoted immense time, care, and passion. With deep respect for his legacy, I will take over the coordination of this section, with the sincere hope of living up to his vision.

His wife will be managing his collection moving forward, and we will soon update here with the details of the new account.

In the meantime, let us extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, his family, and all who knew and admired Michael.

Habe gerade die Nachricht von Michael’s Tod erhalten. Persöhnlich hatte ich Michael erst 2017 in Hopfgarten beim Tauschtreffen kennen gelernt, hatte aber Kontakt mit Ihm schon viel länger.

Bevor er mit den Euro Memos anfing, hatte er shon eine menge Arbeit bei den Geschenk Karten geleistet. Er wird bestimmt von vielen Freunden und Sammler vermisst werden.
