Wishing everybody a happy festive season. In the new year, I'll be doing a big update/springclean of my lists, and look forward to new swaps once done (Mar-26?).

Welcome!

I collect stamps of culturally and economically significant countries with a preference for stamps from the 2nd half of the 20th C. Where applicable my country collections include the pictorial definitives of their former colonies and or associated states. A frivolous side-line is the collection of stamps related fish and fisheries that at some point I will be developing into a proper collection.

In 2026 my main focus will be on (re) organising my Japanese collection. This collection has many gaps, especially in the domestic-postage card rate greetings stamps, and more recent commemoratives. The duplicates I have in this category are available only to swap against similar stamps.

With the exception of post-Showa Japanese stamps as noted above, all stamps on my swap list are available on a 1:1 basis for stamps of roughly comparable rarity/value included in my wish list. I am open to alternative arrangements, but expect that a swap is properly agreed prior to sending out any stamps.

In my wish list I mark the condition of the stamps. Mostly I am looking for postally Used stamps. Where CTO is also acceptable (for minisheets) I explicitly mark this. When the condition is not marked it means I am prepared to accept the stamp in any condition (U/MNG/CTO/MNH) provided it is in good condition.

My swap list mentions the condition of the stamp, and any defects or heavy cancels are marked in my notes, as well as whether a stamp is available only as part of a set. I can send scans of all stamps for approval prior to exchange.

The many varieties of some stamps can trip me up when recording my stock in the catalog. If you are particular about getting a specific variety, then please check beforehand.
