Sorry for my delay. I'm ready to push the category forward. It seems you're pretty organized by now and the NIF seems fine. Please relate to these minor issues in the NIF and then you can go ahead and start filling some NIFs.

1/ Choose which parts you want in Part I and which in Part II. It's pretty flexible. Having more fields in Part II mean a NIF could include different kinds of items but on every line these would have to be filled.

2/ Players - no option for 5, 7 or 11 players? Are these divisions standard?

3/ Width/Height - are they really needed and important to collectors? I'm no expert but I guess that using a certain media means a specific size (or few). If so, please use mm instead of cm.

4/ Column names: Released Year -> Release date. Catalog codes -> Catalog code. Language Game -> Language.

5/ If using only Colnect code as a catalog code other than the factory codes (this should be the case unless there's a good collectors catalog that you wish to include codes for), line 13 can be removed and column A in Part II can be named "Colnect Code".

Make your decisions, let's get NIF v0.20 up and running and after I get a few filled NIFs, I'll start creating the category. We can be up in a week

2/ A Standar console includes 2, 4 and 8 ports control, "Players" refers maxima players who can play simultaneously in Game

3/ Width/Height are 10% necesary , I deleted this entry

5/Factory codes are important because they provide game information, release year, place and region,but few companies have them, that's the reason I mentioned about include the "Colnect Code". above were discussed about include codes (Colnect and Factory) into one list, which would make decide for one of the two codes, I think it's better to have both options and information.

5/ I understood that you want both codes and that's a good idea. All I'm saying is that line 13 can be removed as you won't choose another catalog there.

Aside from that, I believe you can start making more NIFs now. As soon as the drink labels category is ready from my side (a few days at most), I'll start working on VGs and hopefully it'll be ready and hidden within about a week.

Thank you for the NIFs. I see that in the NIF 121103-VG-CGB.xls some of the columns and top of the NIF got erased, could you please fix that?

In general, the amount of NIFs here is enough to start. I will pass them to tcawe and he will begin. You can continue filling out NIFs that will be added to the build of the category.

I'll submit the NIFs, and I'll be happy to receive more NIFs to include in the category. I think the build will start soon. I will update here.

I was told by tcawe today that the build of the category will begin in a few days time. It has been a pending issue since there was lot to deal with lately but the time has come As always - more NIFs will be welcome and helpful for the build. The more information the faster the upcoming catalog grows!

The NIF are already underway about 300 items are listed, I'm looking for help with friends because there are no images available, my personal collection is very short. =) I'm sure we are on track.

Hello Alejandro,

I wanted to check up on the goings on with this category. Are there any more filled out NIFs on the way? I'm hoping to get some more items in there, so we can speed up the build and start the category with a good sized start of the catalog.

I fixed up the NIF and updated to VG NIF v0.22 (see attached). I made some minor fixes (correcting the email address and title and so on...), added more "hints" notes and I was asked to removed the ID numbers from all values that are not yet on Colnect -

* All the added fields, such as "Region" and "Game Content Rating"

* The newly added Countries, America and Europe

I'm sorry for the trouble you went through typing in these ID numbers, but apparently (and I wasn't aware of this as well) that is a problem for the build of the category and had to be removed.

One remark for the future: Any new (no submitted items yet on Colnect) "Console Name" or "Factory Codes" in part 1 of the NIF should be written in column B (not C, column C should be left blank).

I have a few Questions , from tcawe and me, for the final tweaks to the basic NIF version:

1/ Back Picture - I know you commented on this question before:

In the case of cartridges need only see the front, back labels are not

Are you sure there is no need for a "Back Picture" column?

2/ The country "America" refers to North America, or both North and South?

3/ I seem to have lost somehow the language you added "Multilingual", and can find it on the languages list. Would you like me to add it back to the Language list on the NIF?

4/ Hints - I thought of adding a few more "Hint" notes on the cilumns, to help out new collectos filling out the NIFs. How would you explain in the hints -

* "Game Class"

* "Region"

* "Media"

* "Published by"

Please take a look at the attached NIF and let me know if there is anything you would like me to change or add.
