Thanks, Jens.

You are welcome. NIF looks really good now. Just the "head" part seems to be moved from column C to D?

Yes, I noticed the moving columns - but once we agree upon a final version of the NIF I remake a new version of the NIF from scratch just to make sure that things like that (added/moved columns/cells) will not create problems when trying to sync them with Colnect.

Thanks for your help

I think we should use the Colnect Catalog Code at Part 1 of the NIF at the top, and add another column on Part 2 titled something like "Factory Code" where all the Nintendo/Playstation/Atari would be put in.

In this type of option "Colnect Code" will be fixed, or be part of a list scroll down?

- as found in different categories Nif. "Catalog Codes 1" and "Catalog Codes 2"

I mean

Catalog Code ----> Colnect (Fixed)

Factory Code ----> Nintendo/Playstation/Atari (Scroll down list)

In the latest version of the NIF (0.15) appears two English options."Language Game list"

-English [0] I think it has the same ID from Unknown [0] and

-English [29]

Here is a test with Nintendo Ds Games

Test-15-Oct-NDs.xls

Thanks Dana and Jens

Yes in the option I am suggesting the 1st will be a fixed Colnect catalog code and the 2nd a scroll down list of all the factory catalog codes (Nintendo, Atari..) and in the next column the code itself (like in our test NIF: NTR-A62P-EUR, NTR-A43P-EUR..) . Do you think it is okay?

About the language list, you are right. The "English (0)" does not belong there. I removed it in the NIF v0.16 I attached here.

Thank you for the NIF, it looks good :)

- Has changes about catalog codes, I filled the first row as example.

- Feel free to move the "Factory Code" column to where suits you best

Great! The setting of the new column turn out even better than I expected. I will show this version to tcawe, an than maybe just change the location of the column. Otherwise, I think that the NIF is pretty much ready (except some changes that tcawe might suggest).

How about Navigation? Where are we on this subject?

Hello Dana, about Navigation I suggest this way.

Console --> Genre ---> List --> Item

Media --> List --> Item

Year --> List --> Item

New --> List --> Item

Good :)

And the Colnect catalog code? Is is going to be - Console-Year-Number, for example: Nes-A991-001 - like you mentioned before? Can I ask why the year is "A991" instead of "1991"? The letter stands for something or did I miss some piece of information?

Very well, so we will use the Console-Year-Number version. I will run it by tcawe, see if he has any remarks and how we continue.

Hi all

Thanks to move this Post to the New Forum , Great Idea from Rubycored

I see that the idea of the "Video Game Catalog" is not new, (Josep M Giribet,Joao Cruz,Alexandre Pereira)they had been treated previously, the most advanced by Joao. Reading this post March 2010 Videogame Colector I realized that there is a list of Game Publisher,so I included a Scrool down list to avoid the "free will" or misinformation.

As I understand, Colnect has a system that synchronizes the upload of the data included in the Nif directly to the catalog. I apologize if you had to change the settings/or start again every time I make a change.

I also modified how to rename the Nif, I find it much easier use the system from tea bag NIF

Hi Alex,

The change is fine. The scroll down list and the file renaming is a good addition :)

The forum move really is a nice idea. Maybe later on we can see how we can utilize the previous discussions for the category too.

It will take a bit of time to get the notes about the NIF, but I will try to make it as short as possible :)
