2007 Star Wars Press Sheet? Is this a variant? New item?

In the stamp collection I inherited, there is a press sheet consisting of three connected panes (with no perforation between them or anything) of the 2007 Star Wars pane. How should I proceed with this? Should I list it as a new variant, a minor variant, or something else?

My apologies if this is a dumb question. I'm brand new to stamp collecting. I've been reading the guidelines and browsing the forums, but I'm still struggling to understand a lot of this.

None of the catalogues we support list the press sheets as separate items uniquely numbered or valued, though they are footnoted. Press sheets are however quite a popular collectible area in modern USA stamps (in spite of their bulky nature, as they usually come in such rolled tubes).

We should probably list these, if you want to submit it please submit under Colnect code US 2007.05.25-01p for the catalogue code.

You would have to change some of the data fields, but most will be correct.

Caught my interest here. What about the Canadian Press sheets? Hehe what about the British produced Commonwealth ones. Many are...unique as in only one or a couple exist. Basically, this is a whole different field of collecting. Would say needing a new field in the "Format" fields. Called "Press Sheet". Thoughts?

As long as the Press Sheets were made available to the general public for purchase, as they are here in the USA, then I see no problem listing them

I think keeping them under full pane is fine here - basically they will be a minor variant of the full pane minor variants. Here using the description field would be a better option I think.

If the press sheets were NOT made available to purchase then I would be against listing them.

they are stamps, in the sense that they are uncut sheets from which the panes derive, so I would say they make more sense to be in stamps than philatelic products.

And the stamps on the panes are perfectly valid for postage, and I believe the press sheets are sold at face value via the Philatelic Bureau website.

So I'd say better to keep in stamps as yet another minor variant type.

Agreed, can be cut or removed and used on postage although destroying them would be foolish as they are limited.
