The author of the peruvian catalog mentions that all the stamps of this serie may show all kind of errors and varieties. This, due to lack of attention on the part of the Lima Postal Administration, during the printing process.
Some of the varieties, too numerous to mention in its totality, include:

- imperforate stamps
- inverted center
- omitted center
- double center
- center printed on back
- double printing of frame
- double printings, one inverted...

Additionally, the paper quality of this series is low. This leads to generally damaged used stamps or at least in bad conditions.
