I started collecting stamps in January 2022, with a focus on ships. A member of Stamps on Ships of the American Topical Association. As a young man, I spent four years in the United States Coast Guard. Two duty stations, USCGC Acushnet (WMEC-167) and Boatswain's mate second class, for 41 and 44 motor lifeboats off the coast of Maine. My second maritime adventure, six months, was as an ordinary seaman on LNG Leo, which transport liquified natural gas from Indonesia to Japan.
