Description:: Eduardo Santos Montejo (Tunja, 28 August 1888-Bogotá, March 27, 1974) was a Colombian lawyer, politician and journalist, member and president of the Colombian Academy of History (1945-6; 1959-1962), and member of the Liberal Party and President of the Republic of Colombia between 1938 and 1942.
In 1939, he founded the Institute of Territorial Credit, guiding the construction of houses in rural areas.
