Ik werk met windows 7 en office pakket.

Het is namelijk zo als ik jouw nif met afbeelding download zie ik gewoon de nif met tekst.(zip map)

de afbeeldingen worden weer gegeven als een soort berglandschap, als ik ze aan klik zie ik wel de afbeelding maar moet ze 1 voor 1 aanklikken.

Ik heb namelijk gekeken om dat Dana vroeg of ik ook nifs wil invullen wil dat wel doen maar moet wel weten wat het laatst volgnummer is wat jij gebruikt en of ik clips heb die er niet bij staan.

Dit is geen Microsoft, dat programma ging stuk op mijn PC. Vind het vreemd dat Dana jouw vraagt om NIF in te vullen. Ben nu ook bezig met copietjes maken. Ik zou het fijn vinden als je afbeeldingen naar mij opstuurt als alles in Colnect staat, dat voorkomt een heleboel dubbel werk, mijn inziens.

Dat idee had ik al, als je een paar berichten terug gaat kun je dat lezen, ik wil je best scans sturen van clips die nog niet vermeld staan, maar dat hoor ik dan nog wel van je.

Hi [Bruun01] - I am going over the NIFs you have sent. I have only 2 things I wanted to ask:

1/ Please name the NIF files and folders as "[date]-CL-[country].xls (e.g. 070830-CL-Spain.xls)"

2/ I see on one NIF folder named "ger" it doesn't have "Country"

It's supposed to be "Germany", correct? If yes, I will add it now.

Hello Bruun, I know it has been a while since we discussed the category but I wanted to ask a few questions:

1/ "Manufacturer" - do you usually know the manufacturing company of the clip? Can we add this information to the catalog?

2/ "Brand" - usually the name of the brand of the clip, the company that it was made for, the distributing company, appears on the NIF as the "Clip Name". I think maybe we should add a "Brand" field on the catalog and NIF. What do you think?

3/ "Theme" - are some clips collectors interested in different themes that appear on Clips?

4/ "Size" - would you like to add a field for the size of the clips? (for example: 1X2 cm)

Hello Dana,

1. Manufacturer. ingclips are made by Markclips. The rest of the clips by exemple Promoclips, Markclips are made by different manufactures but there names are not on the clip. So add this information is not necessary.

2. In the NIF is after Catalog code the column Name. That is the brand which use the clip. The manufacturer is unknown. I think no need to make a "Brand" field.

3. Collectors are not interested in different themes.

4. Size if you want to add a field for me is OK. But the clips have there own size, there are no exceptions. What I mean is all the 20.000 Promoclips have the same size. Markclips the same. Wingclips the same.

1/ OK.

2/ I think that adding another "Brand" field, even though the information will be almost exactly the same as "Name" is because of the catalog. The catalog is more interesting if you can browse in it - if you can go to a list, and not just search. If you cannot browse, sometimes it could be hard to find the Clip you want. It could be nice to have a list of the Brands on the Clips catalog no? Then, if you want to see all "ERA" clips, for example, you can find it on the list. What do you think?

3/ No themes, OK.

4/ Size - I think we can add it then. If there are standard sizes, we can make a list of them. We can also move "Card Format" (Promo, Axion, Mark...) and "Size" to Part 1 of the NIF. That way you will only need to add them 1 time in each NIF. It would also mean that you need to submit clips in different formats in different NIFs. What do you think?

I had a question about the NIFs you submitted: I see that in most NIFs, the "Clip name" you write in CAPITAL letters. Why is that? Should those names be in CAPS?

The names in Caps is not necessary. But I thought it is clearer when I have 2 cards from b.e. Atag and 1 is only ATAG and the other is ATAG verwarming. But that is my meaning. No caps is of course OK.

I understand, but we will need the names to be written in a normal manner. The difference between items should be in the wording, not the letters.

I have updated the CL NIF to a new version - CL NIF v0.20

Please download it and use it from now on. Always use the most updated NIF version. NIF updates will be posted on the forum and a PM will be sent to you.
