I live in Kastoria north Greece in province of West Macedonia. I was born in a country with vast historical tradition that laid the foundations of European culture. Great men originate from this small country. Aristotle , Plato, Sophocles, Euripides, Aeschylus, Arhimides,Hippocrates the father of medicine ,Aristarchus, Menander,Heraclitus,Phidias,Praxiteles,Lysippus,Aristophanes, Democritus, Herodotus, Thucydides the father of history, Periander,Mnisiclis etc. Great mythical heroes Achilles,Patroclos,Odysseus, Agamemnon, Theseus , Jason, great generals Leonidas, Miltiades Pericles ,Filippos II , and of course Alexander the Great which everyone knows and some Yugoslavian neighbors are trying to convince the rest of the planet is theirs and their origin comes from the Macedonians. NO , Alexander the Great was Greek and will be forever in the global consiousness, such as Greeks are the Spartans, the Athenians, the Corinhians,the Boeotians,the Thessalians, the Achaeans,the Minoans, the Ioanians and every glorius region of ancient Greece.
