I am currently pausing my activities in Colnect and will pick up again most probably in later November 2023.
Hello, I am a stamp collector from Germany, fascinated by this hobby since I was a child. My focus areas are:
- Germany and related areas
- France and related areas
- Japan
- "Rest of the World", preferred the years 1970, 1976, 2009 and 2012.
I am still doing inventory of my stamps in Colnect, so I extend my lists almost everyday (though limited in time, some hours in the late evenings...)
Regarding my lists:
In addition to the standard swap and wish list, I prepared two additional lists for your convenience:
Swap MNH: Lists all stamps in MNH or MH condiditon which I offer for swap
Swap U: Lists all stamps in U or CTO condition which I offer for swap.
So if you are looking for MNH only or U only, please refer to these lists.
Regarding varieties:
Whenever a stamp has more than one variety, please make sure that you offer the type that is ticked on my wish list, or please just ask me.
- Perforation, Fluorescent/Phosphorescent paper: I have the equipment to determine the appropriate variety, so the stamps on my swap lists have the appropriate variety
- Watermarks: I refuse to treat my stamps with chemicals, so for some older stamps I am not a 100% sure about the watermark. If you are looking for a special type, please ask whether I am sure or I just guess.
- Self-adhesive stamps: Unfortunately some countries issue stamps which cannot removed from paper without applying chemical treatment. I refuse chemicals, so stamps of this kind come on paper.
- Colors: I am not always able to determine the appropriate color (e.g. grey-dark blueish black versus dark-grey greenish gray, or whatever the catalogue editors invent to describe a color). So if you are looking for a certain color variant, please ask.
My swapping policies:
- By catalogue value (preferred: stampworld), or
- 1:1 for lower value stamps
- U or MNH condition is not so important
- Normally same type (block to block, individual stamp to individual stamp...)
- Lots of 50-300 stamps preferred
- Regular mail preferred; Registered mail for lots with a value > 50 Euro, just let us agree on this.
