- According to the latest announcements by the Somalia Ministry of Communications and Technology in 2025, the Somali postal service was suspended since around 1990. This due to Civil war and the destruction of all the postal infrastucture in 1991. This puts into question the validity of this item. No examples of postal usage exists and all sales are of unused stamps which is why this item is considered an agency issue.
The above description negates The following UPU Circular as a false publication because there was no postal service in Somalia in 2005.
This item is an unauthorized issue according to it being omitted in the Somalia 2005 UPU Circular 328 which states "The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the Federal Republic of Somalia wishes to inform you that the stamps currently used for the prepayment of correspondence are those issued between 1991 and 1999." All issues produced by I.P.Z.S. nach 1999 according to the omission of them in the document are therefore deemed as unauthorized printings with no postal validity.
Due to the 2025 announcements, omitted or not, all issues dating 1991 through 2003 are now in question of validity. - Jetzt kaufen:
