NEW CATEGORY: Holy Cards

Postby Dana-Levitas »

It is the Christmas season, and what an appropriate time to announce the joining of a new collectible category to Colnect - Holy Cards :)

The new category has been initiated, built and now will be coordinated by Daniele Pennisi [Lelecollector]. You can see the whole discussion on the forum topic on the New Categories forum.

Holy Cards are items with deep historical roots, spanning back centuries. They portray both religious and artistic expression, which gives a lot of added meaningful value to each collectible. They are both aesthetically pleasing and teaming with information, about places of worship, prayers and stories.

Currently the category is still hidden (does not appear on category lists) as it's still in the early stage of adding information. If you collect Holy Cards and would like to help this catalog get on it's feet in the best way, you are welcome to join as a contributor! Please post on the Holy Card forum topic to join!

We wish this category and its coordinator the best of luck with this new catalog in this new year! :D

:D :D :D I'm really enthusiast that in such a short time we managed to create a new category, and for this I thank you. I will do my best in the role of coordinator, and I hope that many collectors will contribute to the catalog. :D :D :D

Congratulations on the new category :) For now, this is the category that has most unique data fields on Colnect. I praise Lelecollector for his attention to details and wish to create an example extensive catalog.

The challenges in adding it have forced me to finally re-write older parts of Colnect's code to make them more easily extensible so adding categories would be much easier on the technical aspects from now on.

I wish Lelecollector and all holy card collectors a joyful time with this new category on Colnect.

:) :D :) Happy Colnecting :) :D :)

We're happy to announce that the beautiful and new Holy Cards category has already surpassed 1000 cards and has been made public on Colnect, for all collectors to enjoy!

Thank you again to the wonderful coordinator of this category, Daniele Pennisi [Lelecollector], who has done exceptionally well with the creation of this catalog. I'm sure that this catalog will grow much more and will be a very impressive Colnect catalog :)

 If you'd like to help adding more cards to the Holy Cards catalog, please contact the coordinator or post here. Your help will be very much welcomed and appreciated.
