We're working hard on improving Colnect and want to let you know about all that we're doing. However, many changes and fixes are relatively minor and perhaps don't deserve a whole post so we're put them here. You can subscribe to this forum to make sure you're on top of what's going on. Please don't respond here with suggestions, that's what the suggestions forum is for

Changes
* Continuing our work on Colnect's responsive design as we get more feedback, we've completely re-worked the item list / single item pages.
* Mailers: when an email cannot be sent, we'll now try a different mailer. Hopefully now 100% of emails will pass through properly.
* We've removed special support for IE8 (Internet Explorer v8) and lower and we're not going to test Colnect with them. We always recommend using the latest versions of browsers and recommend Firefox or Chrome over IE.
* DEA (Disposable Email Address) domains are now banned from signing up to Colnect. Some people would create Colnect accounts just for voting in polls (see here). We've removed these votes and deactivated the accounts. However, preventing the use of DEA would mean it takes a bit longer to open another fake account. As with any spam fighting, there's no way to completely prevent it without hurting the user experience of new members. We do protect Colnectors by ensuring many activities are only available once a person used Colnect long enough and got positive ratings from others.
* Email messages content was revised and improved. We're still waiting for some translations before making the complete move to them.
Fixes
* Some display errors discovered and fixed in Internet Explorer (IE).
* Mailers: confirmation emails (create account/change email) were sent in English instead of current website language.
* Minor fix in Postcards: issuers/authors list pages - instead of showing "Authors" you would see "authors" (not upper case). This also meant some translations were missing.
* Flags sprite didn't work properly in some specific Firefox versions and so some flags appeared missing. We've now changed it to have more columns and it works on all environments we're aware of.
Editors
* Moving items between categories: (1) we've launched a huge move of > 2000 cards from phonecards to gift cards (2)made fixes to our move script to allow moving teabags and tea label (3) composition field (coins/tokens/medals) will also be copied where applicable (4) move action is logged in editors log and you will see it as a part of an item's edit history
* Backend deisgn bugfix: was using the old CSS along with the new one.
* BN: adding third picture from the NIF
* NIF import completed emails: only contributor and coordinator emails appear in the 'to'. Other superusers who get a copy will get it as BCC.
