Have a read through: https://colnect.com/en/help/collecting/ ... llectibles and just let us know what sort of thing we should list with it.
Or you can also look at the Tokens and Sugar Bags thread and see how the categories are constructed.

The timing is great now to add more categories. Sugar packets and tokens are ready and soon about to become public. LEGO might be added soon so we'll be more than happy to have Trading Cards as a category in general or one specific for Trading Card Games. Please say what you think the scope of the category should be as well. I'll await your sample draft NIF here.
Thanks and good luck ![]()

Please answer the 3 questions on: More Collectibles?
1.Are there any catalogs for that category? Please mention as many catalogs as you know. Add links if they are on-line or send a few page scans if not.
2. Which data fields are relevant to each collectible item in the category? Take a look at some single item page of current categories. Now think how the single item page of the new category should look like.
3. How will collectors navigate the new category? On our phone cards section navigation may start with country, then company, then series and then a list. On our stamps section we usually start with country, then series and then a list. These options for navigation can be extended. Please clearly state your vision of how navigation would be best for collectors.
Once you are comfortable with the data fields you have selected you are ready to create a new NIF for the new category. Take one of the existing NIFs (of a category with similar navigation and fields) and change the names of the columns to what you think is best. Enter sample information of a few items and send the new NIF for inspection.
Here are my additional questions:
* Does "country" mean anything for TGC?
* What about the field "Issued" noting the amount of cards prints? Needed or not?
* What are the options for "Card type" field you mentioned?
* How many cards (more or less) are in a series? I ask that for the catalog code.
Please submit here the draft NIF and I'll be very happy to see you become the category's coordinator. As a 2-star contributor I'm sure you already know how Colnect works and would be able to create a great project ![]()

1 - There isn't any catalog for this category but I know a few sites for add these cards and we can create catalog codes for these cards in a specific format.
2 - I think I've already sent the data fields required for each card.
Categories, Series, Card Type, Catalog Code, Card Name, Production Date, Size, Company, Description/Comments
and I think these data fields are enough temporarily.
3 - Navigation can be the following way. Country - Category - Company - Year - New
and I will send sample NIF file for this catalog
- Meaning (Expansion) of TCG is Trading Card Game ...
- Issues is not important for this catalog because these cards are printed in big amounts and these amounts is unknown completely.
- Card Types are as follows - For example: There are 3 types of card in Pokemon Cards category and these are Monster Cards, Trainer Cards and Energy Cards. Also There are 3 types of card in Yu-Gi-Oh Cards category and these are Monster Cards, Trap Cards and Spell Cards ... Examples like these ...
- These are variable according to the sets and categories. If you we will create catalog codes for these, I can do this randomly and we don't have to add catalog code tab into the NIF file.

Thank you for your answers. What's the meaning of "Country" in this category? Do you have different Pokemon cards printed in Spain and in Brazil, for example?
I prefer a different terms than "Categories" as it will confuse collectors with different categories on Colnect (stamps, coins...) so perhaps, "Game" or "Brand" ?
Catalog codes are very important once created. They allow collectors to relate to a specific item by its code and they prevent submitting duplicates as a coordinator.
Looking forward to your first NIF.

Yes, Country category will be good because, for example, Pokemon Cards have generally two languages: These are English and Japanese also some sets was printed Spanish and another languages ...
''Game'' is maybe better than ''Categories'', That's true and thanks for this ...
I think I will be able to do these catalog codes ...

Looking forward to this.
And yes, countries are important.
In Germany all cards were issued in German only. Also several Pokemon names are translated to German language.
