UPDATE 30/December/2011: Alicia's name has been removed from the title of the post and her account has been restored. She said Hugo Blanco is her x-boyfriend and he has used her account. She has agreed to compensate collectors for Hugo's misdeeds. We hope she will have no further problems on Colnect and wish her luck.

The account of alispilfo has been deactivated although no negative ratings were seen on the profile page. This is a special case and the results of my own investigation are presented here.

It seems the person has opened other accounts on Colnect, such as Thiago00 and marior. The account Thiago00 has been deactivated some time ago upon the person's own request. Later, negative ratings were given and collectors got angry claiming they have been cheated. modj0 has been deactivated when we realized it's the same address. marior has been deactivated as emails used by that member were reported as suspicious in other forums.

Considering the fact it's the same person (this has taken some investigation and cross referencing information from different sources) , it seems opening the other accounts were meant for cheating while keeping the main account "clean".

Please mind the two addresses below are about 5 minutes walk from each other.

If there are any other collectors from Ourense (SPAIN), please try to find information about that person.

I think your absolutely spot on with this decision. I contacted him earier and suggested him he could make an attempt to go to the police since he was also claiming to have been cheated by Thiago. Since they were both living in Spain this attempt could be made by him, but he wasn't willing.

Point to the administrator -I've seen another spanish collector who has only been swapping with alispilfo and who has an very large offer of high quality coins -espiacilly compared to the total size of his collection. This was also the profile of the Thiago identity, which made me suspicious. Should we keep an eye on this person?

codiv - both addresses are 5 minutes walk from each other. Quite odd if a collector would send a package to someone living that close to him... If you suspect other accounts are fake, please send me a private message with the names of both accounts and the reason why you guess they're the same.

I think it should be a good idea to match to each collector, suspended for this unfair and in a list of all suspended, by country, available to all collectors, his last known postal address so that we can track down the villain who has registered with a new identity. So the address becomes more important then nickname (identity) and the attackers would have more difficulties in their fraudulent activities.

Alicia Vilarchao [alispilfo] has written us and sent identifying documents. She claims that her ex-boyfriend, Hugo Blanco, has been using her account and he was the person responsible for cheating others. As she is no longer in touch with him, she says she cannot do much to help. After long deliberation on the subject, we have decided to re-activate her account and see how she might be of use to others.

Other current recommendation is to NOT SEND HER FIRST but give her the chance to prove that she is an honest and correct person.

It's very easy to claim there's an ex-boyfriend, nobody can check. If she had no need to control her own account, why does she need it now? Is the collection her own?

Thank you for your replies here and your concerns are justified. She has her account back on probation, meaning she will have to try and remedy the situation that was caused by either her ex-boyfriend or herself.

We are trying to believe her ex-boyfriend story for the following reasons:

* She has 40 positive ratings and 0 negatives

* The mailing addresses were different

* She has supplied identifying documents which is something most cheaters are afraid to do

I am not easy to believe in all kinds of stories but in this case trying to give her the option to be back and compensate you may help her clear her name and you get your losses back.

My suggestion for the time being is for you to provide her a neutral or negative rating with your side of the story and let her try to compensate you. Don't be afraid to present her with your demands but please do it in private.

thats all very nice, but the fact is that i never swaped with the user Alicia Vilarchao [alispilfo], so how can i rate her?

besides, i can't even remember the notes i sent to hugo blanco, only the coins.

should i demand her to send my coins and 13, 14, 17 or 20 banknotes, and give her a neutral or negative rating?

if the story is true (which i don't believe), i can't ask her for anything cause it wasn't her fault.

please tell me what to do!!!!

ps. if all this is because of her, why isn't she here to explain and to defend her self ???????????
