Between 1996 and 1997 there are several blocks issued, and also some series. Apparently some of these blocks are made without the permission of the government of Zaïre. These were made and distributed by people who took advantage of the internal conflicts in Zaïre; these blocks were never issued, sold or used in Zaïre. They depict famous people, pop stars, movie stars, pets, wildlife, sport events and more “popular themes”.
