On another PC, i tried yesterday a couple of times to open stamp 720343 to view the detail. Then i wrote my post here yesterday at 14:41.
Nomatter what way you use to reach the detail (data) of that stamp, the error/warning occures and not the data of that stamp.
I tried again to open that stamp to copy the link in that post, and then ... BAM ... access forbidden.
The link (but there are plenty of others, not all) is in that post (in this topic). The problem is reproducible.
On the PC i'm writing this post now, i also get the same error/warning.
https://colnect.com/en/stamps/stamp/720 ... ia_18b5185
It is the normal link to the detail of a stamp in different lists (go to 'Stamps', select country, filter on year ... ).
If somebody wants to feel what it is to be blocked from Colnect: please click on the link a number of times and you'll see (very) soon what i mean. But be warned: this feature is guaranteed to work every time and for everyone.
@GreyGhost please do, and after being blocked try to contact Colnect lol
The error/warning has nothing to do with windows nor explorer. On the other PC it was Win11, this PC it is still Win10.
It is realy a problem in the Colnect database, and the way 'suspicious' actions are interpreted and handled by the system. In fact: 2 problems. The first is the cause, the second is the handling. The most important thing, of course, is to address the root cause. However, the second issue must not be left untreated.
This stamp still gives the error/warning page instead of the detail of the stamp.
Yesterday i sent my ip-adress and got feedback that my IP was unblocked. Stil, on that PC, it did not work anymore.
On that PC, the site Colnect is still totaly unreachable (always "Your requests to Colnect are now temporarily blocked as you have made many suspicious requests."). Later today, i'll go to the place where that 'Colnect-blocked' pc is, and i will try again.
Here, on this PC, i'm not blocked yet. But i risk that here within 5 minutes all will be blocked also.
Blocked = totaly blocked, so you can't write nor view he Colnect forum anymore also.
And of course, you can't contact anyone anymore (because that 'contact' link is on... the Colnect website).
In other words, several hundred users could easily be disabled right now without any notification (because how are you supposed to contact Colnect if you can no longer access the website?).
In case of suspicious activity, Colnect should block a user (prevent them from logging in), but still show the Colnect main page. This way, the poor man or woman member could at least make an emergency call via "help/contact us." That's currently impossible.
