The Indigenous Confederation (1567-1577), or Indigenous Confederation of the Province of Caracas, was the belligerent side of the Caribs and Arawacos against the Spanish empire and its indigenous allies, during the Spanish-Caribbean War. This confederation by its size and peoples represented the greatest danger of the permanence of the Spaniards in the Venezuelan Mainland. The confederation was integrated and led by Guaicaipuro who was the ruler of Los Teque and the tribes of the araguas valleys.
