Eusmilus is an extinct genus of predatory mammal that lived during the Oligocene epoch, approximately 33 to 23 million years ago. It was a member of the family Nimravidae, which were saber-toothed cats that lived in North America and Eurasia during the Paleogene period. Eusmilus was about the size of a large modern-day cougar, with a muscular build and long, saber-like canine teeth that were used for hunting. Its fossils have been found in various parts of North America and Europe.
