Eilean Mhic Coinnich, also known as Mackenzie Island (although recorded on the Land Register as McKenseys Island), is an uninhabited island lying off the southern end of the Rinns of Islay peninsula on the Inner Hebridean island of Islay, Scotland. It has never had a need for local stamps. In 2022 private entities have begun promoting these labels inscribed "Mackenzie Island" with monetary values. Supposedly money raised will be donated to the Scottish Wildlife Trust. There is no evidence of any funding from these and other labels created by these entities going to claimed islands or charities. The entities want to claim them as Cinderella stamps and claim not to be in it for huge profits when in reality, they are bogus labels made to profit from stamp collectors and general collectors. This proven by the huge amount of work they have done to promote sales of the labels by developing websites dedicated to selling them, to offering on numerous stamp venues, to promoting them on numerous social media outlets.
