- The Kilesk had a body up to 5 meters long and weighed about 700 kilograms. He might have had crests on his face. This dinosaur probably had a light skull with elongated jaws and sharp teeth, features characteristic of predatory theropods. As a predator, it preyed on smaller reptiles, early mammals, and possibly young or weakened herbivorous dinosaurs. The limbs, including the metacarpal and phalanges, indicate functional grasping hands, which were most likely used to catch prey. Although no complete skeleton has been preserved, elements of the jaws and limb bones of the theropod indicate that it was quite agile and moved quickly through dense vegetation.
According to zoologists, it was the Kileska branch that, after 100 million years, led to the appearance of the most famous and most terrifying predator, the Tyrannosaurus. - Compra adesso:

- Ivanthosaurus is a predatory therapsid from the Eotitanosuchid family that lived during the Permian period (265-254 million years ago) in the territory of modern Russia. In 1983, paleontologist Peter Chudinov described the first dinosaur remains found near the village of Yezhovo in the Ochersky district of the Perm region and named it after his colleague, paleontologist and science fiction writer Ivan Antonovich Efremov, who made a huge contribution to the research of extinct animals of the USSR.
The Ivantosaurus reached a length of 6 meters and weighed about 600 kilograms. According to the found fragments of the skull, paleontologists were able to conclude that the length of the typical skull was about 75 centimeters, in which the upper canines were about 19 centimeters long.
It has been suggested that this large predator was an excellent swimmer, possibly semi-aquatic or living in a swampy area, where it hunted herbivorous estemmenosuchus, whose thick skin could be pierced by powerful saber fangs. However, this is just a guess. Ivantosaurs became an important link in the ecosystem, paving the way for the development of mammals. - Compra adesso:
