- Although this issue was authorized by the Guinea postal administration, virtually the whole issue was not sold in Guinea, but only distributed by the Guinea philatelic agency IGPC for distribution onto the philatelic market.
The list of stamps to avoid and resist created in 2000 by Mr. Bengt Bengtsson (a philatelic judge in Sweden) and updated by the Philatelic Webmasters Organization who is dedicated to fighting the abuse of the philatelic market states all stamps for Guinea from 1982 forward should be avoided. Although Guinea is a UPU member, they have never had any stamps listed on the UPU WNS system. It is quite obvious why.
This is due to excessive production and /or little to no evidence of sales and usage within Guinea since 1982 which breaks the rules for listing on the WNS system. Between 1982 and 2006, the stamp agencies IGPC, Impressor S.A. and France Philatelie abused their rights to produce stamps in this way. From 2007 forward Stamperija has carried the abuse to unbelievable heights. Numerous issues were used on commercial mailings but were extremely overproduced as sales on the IGPC, WORLDARTSTAMPS (Impressor) and Stamperija aka Stampera websites continue to offer them decades later and the issues are massively offered still by associates of the agencies as of the year 2025. Evidence shows that around 95% to 100% of the printings were and are sold outside of the country depending on the issue.
One can simply see the waves of abuse by looking at the numbers of issues for each year on Colnect.

This issue is contested to be illegally produced as the EUROPA issues made by and for Marino Montero International Stamp Agency and George Katz which include the 2005-2006 EUROPA issues made in the name of Chad, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe have all been denounced as illegal. All of them including this issue are not recognized by any of the EUROPA organizations. Michel and Yvert have in the past listed the illegal EUROPA issues for those countries (and this one) due to heavy influence by the stamp agents responsible for their creation and since de-listed them. That fate is most likely to happen with this issue as well. Michel and Yvert are the csak catalogs that have listed them.
This issue was not sold in Guinea, but only distributed by the philatelic agency Marino Montero International for distribution onto the philatelic market. This item was extremely massively and excessively produced making it of little to no philatelic value. Full mini sheets of this issue have been massively sold in bulk lots of 100 mini sheets at a rate of $60.00 (U.S.) each making the cost of one mini sheet to the buyers 60c! The majority of the sellers of them are notorious illegal stamp dealers. For all these reasons Buyer must beware!
Illegal productions of "deluxe souvenir sheets" exist. Please see the 2006 illegal stamps category for Guinea to define them. - Vedd meg most:
