Description:
Sanda Island is a small island in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Records state Sanda was permitted to have carriage labels produced. Clive Feigenbaum produced the labels for this island between 1962 through 1974, a set in 1977 and one more set in 1986. All of them were able to be used as payment for mail sent from the island to the mainland under the rules set forth for British locals. This is another one of the few islands that Mr. Feigenbaum "legitimately" produced carriage labels for. There was a conflict between the British post and the owners between 1993 and 2003 in being allowed to continue issuing labels for payment after which the British post has since reinstated the permissions to do so.
