Description:
Only the 10p, 5r and 10r with overprints were accepted as valid by the Bangladesh postal authorities. The rest of the values were not accepted by Bangladesh authorities who declared the issue invalid for postal purposes. At a later time a quantity of the other five values with overprints were sent to Bangladesh and held until 1974. A quantity were placed on First Day Covers and postmarked 1974.

The stock of issues were commissioned to be printed by the Format Printers for a Mr. E.E. Oakway who was a supposedly reputed stamp dealer and stamp investor. When the five other values were basically rejected rather than destroy them, he promptly distributed the stock directly to European and American stamp dealers and disappeared. Nothing was found in the printers archive in regards to the stamps of Bangladesh.
