- Diego Faller Carrión (March 10, 1834, Santa Ana -August 13, 1905, Bogotá) was a Colombian poet, musician, mathematician and engineer, piano teacher at the National Academy of Music, professor of singing and music at the School of Literature and Philosophy of the National University of Colombia. As a poet he was the forerunner of the parnassianism, and one of the representatives of Romanticism in Colombia. His poem "La Luna" (the moon) was classified as one of the most influential of the nineteenth century, according to the Colombian Academy of Language. He was a member and founder of the Colombian Society of Engineers.
