Elasmotherium is an extinct genus of large herbivorous mammals that lived during the Pleistocene epoch, between 2.6 million and 10,000 years ago. It is also known as the "Siberian unicorn" due to its massive horn, which is believed to have been up to 2 meters long. Elasmotherium was a member of the rhinoceros family and was characterized by its large size, robust build, and long legs. Fossils of Elasmotherium have been found in various parts of Eurasia, including Russia, Kazakhstan, and China.
