- This item is falsely described as a 1998 issue by criminal stamp dealers due to what it represents which is for the upcoming "France '98" championships. The values and style match all the other 1997 issues like mini sheets of 6 of Cats, Dogs and Orchids. A completely different series was produced in 1998 for the "France '98" games. All of this style of series were deceptively produced without years inscribed with intent to confuse collectors and dealers on when they were actually made and placed on the market. No fake FDC's were made for any of these series thus enhancing the deception. The evidence they were made in 1997 used to be shown on one stamp selling venue that retained all past sales which at the time showed the sales of this series starting in 1997. Sadly that evidence was destroyed when they removed all accounts that were closed and/or kicked off for selling counterfeit stamps. Never trust the word of a stamp dealer that sells illegal stamps. Their whole business is based on lies and deception.
This item was illegally produced by the British counterfeiter using Mayfair International Security Printers located in France and distributed through the so-called philatelic agencies called "France Philatelie" and "France Philatelie (2000)", later called the agency "Marino-Montero International" and are distributed by associated British, German, U.S., Belgium and other Eastern European based illegal stamp dealers.
