So-called "Potato stamp", denominated 1d = 4 potatoes which were locally used as currency. Prepared for a petition requesting stamps for Tristan da Cunha which was sent to the Postmaster-General in the UK.
Printed in sheets of 35, imperforate at the top and bottom sheet edges.
