- This is the 1927 Type I stamp. In Types I and III the tops of the letters alpha, delta and lambda are pointy and in Type II they are flat. In Type I the front columns have indistinct shading lines. In Type II the shading lines of the front columns are vertical and in Type III the shading lines are cross hatched. In Type I the base of the 1 on the left side has a serif on both sides but a narrower serif than in Type II. In Type III the serif on the left foot of the left 1 is hardly there. In Type I the dot in the P (Rho) is small. The dot in the P (Rho) is large in Type II and medium sized in Type III.
