Sucre, one of the 32 departments of Colombia, is located in the north of the Republic, in the Caribbean region. It receives its name in honor of Antonio José de Sucre hero of Colombian national independence.
The Capital of the department is Sincelejo.
The Department of Sucre was created by Law 47 of 1966, during the presidency of Carlos Lleras Restrepo. The inauguration ceremony of the Department was fulfilled on March 1, 1967, having as headquarters the atrium of the Cathedral of San Francisco of Assisi of Sincelejo, that serves as illustration to this stamp. - Buy Now:

Cumbia, is a folkloric rhythm and dance from Colombia.It began as a courtship dance practiced among the Indigenous population on the Caribbean coasts of Colombia. It later mixed with African and European instruments, steps and musical characteristics.
