- The coat of arms is French-shaped, its field is divided diagonally into two parts that are characterized as follows: one finds a pebble valley with its river, blue mountains in the background, two palms and five golden cities. The river referred to is the Cauca which runs throughout the valley, the palm trees mean the tropical climate and the five Golden Cities as homage to the Confederate cities of Valle del Cauca.
On the lower right part the port of Buenaventura, with its bay, its pier and the floating panorama of Anchicayá is shown. At sea, a ship of the national fleet.
The coat of arms is adorned on its left by the flag of the Confederated cities, adopted in 1811, whose colors are blue and white in horizontal stripes of equal width, while on its right side by a bundle of sugar cane and a bouquet of coffee commemorating the greatest richness found on the floor of the department.
At the top of the shield, a sun that signifies unity, grace, abundance and wealth, and is at the same time a symbol of freedom and benevolence. The shield is headed by a fluttering ribbon in which it is written "July 3, 1810 — May 1, 1910". - Buy Now:

- Description:
- The church, which is one of the references of the architectural landscape of the city of Cali was build in 1942 after an earthquake totally destroyed the previous one in 1787. The current construction is a miniature Gothic church, and as many Gothic churches in America are inspired by the cathedral of Ulm, Germany. The new hermitage is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows and inside it preserves the old image of the Lord of the Cane in the left side altar.
Both the main altar and the Lord of the Cane are in white marble.
The stained glass represents the images of the holy Apostles.
The present hermitage is a church with three aisles, covered with a ribbed vault. The church is very visited by lots of tourists every year. - Buy Now:

- Description:
- Buenaventura is a coastal seaport city on the department of Valle del Cauca. Buenaventura (Spanish for "good fortune") is the main port of Colombia in the Pacific Ocean. The city was founded on July 14, 1540, by Juan de Ladrilleros through orders from Pascual de Andagoya. At that time it was inhabited by the Buscajas. The city was destroyed by Native Americans before 1600; it was later rebuilt. Buenaventura thrived after the opening of the Panama Canal in 1914; and in the '50s became a regular stop over for the "International Jet Set". Today the city is crucial for sending raw materials to nearby areas; this has brought prosperity and allowed recent new development to occur.
