- Description:
- Stamperija was contracted by IGPC to print this item as it is still being offered on the IGPC website as of 2023.
Stamperija apparently had a contract to print stamps in the name of Mozambique with IGPC in 2002. This proven by sales of some of the issues printed by Stamperija on the IGPC website. Many more sets were produced by Stamperija counter to what was (and still is two decades later) offered on the IGPC website showing either Stamperija breached the contract with IGPC or Mozambique breached their contract with IGPC in giving a separate contract as a stamp agent for Mozambique to Stamperija who claims they are the stamp agency on their private website. Either way, in doing this, Mozambique or IGPC allowed an abusive stamp agency to produce a massive number of stamps in the name of Mozambique. Most of them were never used in Mozambique but only sold by the agency Stamperija to the philatelic market. This agency had numerous stamps produced that were denounced as illegal in a UPU circular by the Mozambique postal authorities as well. Please see the illegal stamps category for examples of some of these illegal stamps that were produced in 2002. Due to the abuse by both stamp agencies, contracts were dropped with both of them until 2007. - Buy Now:
