The issue commemorates the third anniversary of South Ossetia's recognition of the Donetsk People's Republic's independence.
There is a conflict with this series due to one stamp designed and printed in the name of the Republic of South Ossetia. If removed from the pair, it in itself would be considered an illegal stamp as all stamps in the name of South Ossetia are illegal stamps. The 50py issue was in the illegal stamp categories originally. Due to the 30py values being listed in the Donetsk People's Republic, it has been moved to the Donetsk People's Republic 2017 category as well as of November 28, 2025.
