The Armenian Sarrafian Brothers started their photography and postcards business in Beirut in 1910s under Ottoman rule and continued producing postcards during 1920s. The company advertises on the back of the card that their stock has over 800 different postcard varieties. This postcard belongs to a series of 60 postcards; posted examples start from 1919. The price of each cards was 1 d. meaning in was intended to be sold in British coins in Palestine. Lebanon was separated from Syria in 1920 under French mandate.
