Description:: Honorary Badge of the Polish Red Cross - a Polish civilian decoration established on September 1, 1927, resumed in People's Poland in 1945 and confirmed in 1964 and in the Third Republic of Poland in 2011, constituting an honorable distinction for merits in the implementation of the humanitarian goals of the Polish Red Cross, in particular the tasks specified in the Act about the Polish Red Cross and in the statute of the association.
The badge is divided into 4 grades.
The PCK Honorary Badge is awarded by the PCK Honorary Badge Chapter at the request of structures existing in the organization, including main board. The five-person chapter is elected by the national convention of the Polish Red Cross from among those previously awarded with the first degree badge of the Polish Red Cross. The badges are solemnly awarded on the occasion of important events in the Polish Red Cross, e.g. Polish Red Cross Week, Honorary Blood Donation Days, Polish Red Cross Youth Days.
