The coin is dedicated to Uusimaa's region. In a face the shield of the region is represented and in other one it appears as emblematic animal to the Hedgehog.
The hedgehog is Uusimaa's emblematic animal. The hedgehog lives in urban zones, near the human population and is a habitual guest in many of his courts. As a general rule, the hedgehogs move during the twilight and the night. In spite of his profile and his broke fellings, it is the agile nice one and rapid corridor that spread to Finland in the 19th century and nowadays it is a protected species. - Buy Now:

- Description:
- The Suomen Rahapaja, Finland Mint, announces the emission of the eighth coin of the series "National Landscapes of Finland" dedicated to the "Old City of Porvoo and the Porvoonjoki Valley". The series is composed of nine bimetallic pieces with facials of 5 euros that correspond to the favorite landscapes chosen by their citizens in a vote held during the summer of 2017.
The obverse of the coin shows an image of the city of Porvoo, located about 50 kilometers east of Helsinki. Although Porvoo is not a coastal city, it is linked to the Gulf of Finland by the river of the same name. The design of the coin is based on a photograph taken by Hannu Vallas and captured on the coin by Erkki Vainio.
The reverse designed by Mari Metso shows an image of the map of Finland where with a small circle the location of the city of Porvoo is shown. - Buy Now:
