- Description:
- Obverse: A craftsman printing fabrics, wooden pattern on the left; mint mark at left MK (Mincovňa Kremnica) and engraver KL (Karol Ličko). Face value at center 100 𝄓 EURO, date below 2024, small Slovak coat of arms at right, State name at bottom SLOVENSKO (Slovakia).
Reverse: The central european terms “Blaudruck”, “Kékfestés”, “Modrotisk” and “Modrotlač”, literally mean “blue dyeing or printing by reserve”, a practice of artisan dyers consisting of applying a paste to the fabrics that is impermeable to the dye, before proceeding to the operation of dyeing them indigo blue. This paste prevents the dye from penetrating the motifs or designs and leaves them uncoloured.
