Obverse: The King Willem-Alexander is portrayed with elements and structures. The element for water is used to create unity, but also to reference the king’s role in water management, which he focused on before his inauguration; ruler at right WILLEM-ALEXANDER and at top left Koning der Netherlanden (Willem-Alexander King of the Netherlands), mintmark at upper left, Mercury staff ☤ (Utrecht) and privy mark "raven" at top (Bert van Ravenswaaij).
