Reverse: On the mirror field of the disc - a scene of Battle of Borodino: to the left and below - relief and contour images of advancing Napoleonic troops, in the centre - a trench with defending soldiers in it, behind them to the right and above - relief and contour depictions of the troops of Russian army, in the back-ground to the left - a church, to the right - a redoubt. On the top at the rim - the image of Mother of God of Smolensk, below - a shako over crossed weapon, standards and army accouterments, under them - the inscription along the rim: ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННАЯ ВОЙНА 1812 ГОДА (The Patriotic War of 1812).
