Distinctive aroma "cola" derived mainly from sugar mixture, orange OIL, lemon oil and vanilla, with only minor contributions remaining ingredients. Producing company, Coca-Cola Corporation, is the largest consumer of natural vanilla extract in the world.
The company produces concentrate, which is then sold to various bottlers of Coca-Cola licensees worldwide. Bottlers, who hold exclusive territorial contracts with the company manufactures the product in cans and bottles from the concentrate in combination with filtered water and sweeteners. Bottlers then sell, distribute and sell Coca Cola in cans and bottles to retail stores and vending machines. Coca-Cola Company also sells concentrate dispenser sales, by major restaurants and food service distributors.
Coca-Cola Company introduced and presented occasional cola and other drinks under the Coke brand name. The most common of these is Diet Coke. However, there are others including Caffeine-Free Diet Coke, Cherry Coke, Coke Zero, Vanilla Coke and special editions with lemon and even coffee.
In all countries where it is present, the company operates in a "Coca-Cola system." It consists, on the one hand, from The Coca-Cola Company, and on the other hand, several bottlers who exclusively to a particular area on bottling and distribution of final products.
In Romania, the system is represented by Coca-Cola Romania (subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company) and Coca-Cola HBC Romania, which provides bottling, distribution, sale and marketing operations for Coca-Cola products. Coca-Cola HBC Romania is a member of the Coca-Cola Hellenic, one of the largest bottlers globally in the system.
The first recipe Coca-Cola was invented in Columbus, Georgia, John Stith Pemberton by initially as a Pemberton's French Wine cocawine called Coca in 1885. He may have been inspired by the success of cocawine's formidable created by European Angelo Mariani , Vin Mariani.
The first sales were at Jacob's Farmacy in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 8, 1886. It was initially sold as a patent medicine for five cents. Pemberton claimed Coca-Cola drink that cured many diseases, including morphine addiction, dyspepsia, neurasthenia, headache and impotence. Pemberton published the first advertisement for the beverage on May 29 of that year, the Atlanta Journal. In the first eight months only nine drinks were sold daily.
In 1888 there were three versions of marketing Coca-Cola sold separately from the three companies. The Griggs Candler Pemberton took his company in 1887 and incorporated in 1888 in the Coca Cola company. In the same year, because of morphine addiction, Pemberton sold the rights a second time his other four businessmen: JC Mayfield, A. O. Murphey, C.O. Mullahy and E. H. Bloodworth. Meanwhile, Pemberton's alcoholic son Charley Pemberton began selling its own version of the product.
Coca-Cola was sold in bottles for the first time on March 12, 1894. The boxes of Coke first appeared in 1955. The first bottling of Coca-Cola occurred in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the Biedenharn Candy Company in 1891. Owner Joseph A. Biedenharn it was.
