The Deportivo Independiente Medellín, known as DIM, is the precursor of football in Colombia, and in 2013 fulfilling its first centenary of creation.
The Soccer club was founded on November 14th, 1913 under the name of "Medellin Foot Ball Club", and has its permanent headquarters in the city of Medellin, Colombia.
During its life as a professional team the DIM has won five national championships: in 1955, 1957, 2002, 2004 and 2009.
